What is your homestead’s primary source of water? Do you have a secondary source? What if two sources of water go down? Do you have a third?
Water is the most important element an off-grid homestead can have and it’s our biggest concern when the rains don’t come for any length of time.

We live in the Phoenix area and we have something in the summer called The Century Mark which translates into 100 days without rain… we experience this quite often.
As a result of such an arid climate, my wife and I have purchased a 16 acre homestead in the mountains where rain is not a rarity!!
