Off Grid Pitcher Pump for the Homestead

An American Homestead now has indoor plumbing thanks to this beautiful pitcher pump. Jaimie is excited to have all the water she needs right at her fingertips again. It’s a very easy pump to maintain and disassemble as demonstrated in the video. Enjoy!

About Zachary Bauer

Zachary lives with his wife, two sons and his wife's parents on An American Homestead deep in the mountains of the American Ozarks. They all moved there together in July of 2013 where they began to build the homestead. They are off-grid with the exception of a phone line.

  1. We have a pitcher pump at our kitchen sink, the only place in the cabin with water access. We are fortunate to live in a float cabin on a lake with a huge supply of good water four feet under our cabin deck. It’s such a simple and practically worry free solution to fresh running water. – Margy

  2. Your pitcher pump brings back fond memories of my grandparent’s home in the 70’s. We kids thought it fun and an honor to be allowed to pump it and do the dishes!

  3. Can you comment the link where you purchased the pump? I cannot find one on Amazon 🙂
