Once you make the move out of urban or suburban America and get some land for your farm or homestead, having your own fuel depot is a good idea.
A homestead or farm fuel depot is a great way to organize multiple fuels into an easy to access location. A larger amount of land will usually bring about ownership of tractors, mowers, off road vehicles and other machinery that requires specialized fuels and refueling on site. To make this easy, consider establishing a safe farm fuel depot.
Our farm fuel depot holds gasoline, diesel, kerosene, engine oils and other various oils and liquids that are needed often on the homestead.
Additionally, having a fuel storage center on your farm is a great preparedness move allowing you to have fuels in case of a community or national shortage. This may seem far fetched and conspiratorial but this has happened a nunmber of times in our nation’s past. So its good planning to have some fuels set aside for a time when you might not be able to attain more. The only thing to remember with a large storage of fuels is to rotate through them. That way, the stored fuels stay fresh.
