So back in high school, I had some less than stellar home economics grades. If only my Home Ec teacher could see me now!

  1. I never myself really hear this taught about spices. If they smell totally different. They won’t mix. 3 or 4 years of home ec. We had to in 7th and 8th grades. I took the Senior one. I think another one. I cooked off on in in restaurants for 9 years. I can, can. I have the tools and books. Yet. Unexperienced in it. Because all I have is store none foods to work with for now. I do have the tools and books.

  2. I took home ec & failed took shop & passed lol..I was never taught to cook & I still struggle but keep trying. Sewing, crocheting etc..I can’t do. I have very little feeling in my fingers due to a childhood accident so my dexterity is terrible..but my husband can sew! He actually made me a ball gown when we were in a civil war reenactment group & his uniform so it balances out ..

  3. Shalom, I was a high school dropout, now a registered nurse, I was bored, playing sports and taking accelerated classes eventually got me to graduate as the adult learning valedictorian LOL who knew?

  4. Took home economics in middle school and enjoyed it. I enjoyed growing up in St. Louis county. We have been back here for 25 years and enjoy a garden just like my Parents and Grandparents.

  5. My asvap came back with condolences.

Experts on the economy saying resources are not wealth.

I didn’t know the Ozarks were in America..

    Thank you China..

  6. I’ve canned about 48 pts of dog food with a goal of 120 pts in addition to preserving the garden and orchard.

  7. Coming up on 16 years building my homestead and YES you learn how to do everything. Raise it, kill it, forage it, can it, freeze it, smoke it, salt cure it, dehydrate it, ferment it, pickle it, sew it, crochet it, quilt it, knit it, mend it, launder it, clean it, build it, maintain it, fix it, trade it, off grid it, and on and on and on. You have to commit or you’ll fail.

  8. My dad was a chef… so at the age of 3 i knew how to make home made spaghetti sauce from scratch.. grilled cheese sands and soup..in the oven… i have taken in all the cooking over the years so now i have alot of mixing and matching cooking skills.. growing skills..need help.. i make up for in sewing and crocheting… canning was in and out of my life.. i know but i need helping hand…kinda like my fishing skills.. i can catch a fish but i also can do better at feeding them..lol anyway.. shalom

  9. Asvab is an aptitude test. Not a knowlege or intelligence test. So you scored highly in what? What was your aptitutude?
