I have family in western NC. For 3 days we had no idea if they were dead or alive, or how much destruction they had personally. I get 3 days isn’t very long, but it is when you are waiting to hear something. What do you recommend as a backup for senior citizens that are not the most tech savvy? I need easy communication backup for them.
That book that you show is NOT available on Amazon. I am wanting my husband and i to take a course to learn about HAM radio use. What do you recommend? We have no knowledge.
Also, avout how long is the class? How much time, approximately, does it take??
great video and i had bought 14 Baofeng radios when they had a sale for $10 each an now they doubled. It is wise to have extra ham and C B radios. If one goes down and bits the dust you have a 2 nd or 3 rd on hand as back up. Great video
My son and I have homing pigeons. Each bird is capable of flying a good distance strapped with encrypted thumb drives. We’ve perfected flight patterns and release times. Over ten years and have never lost a bird.

So their “regulations” only apply if you transmit across state lines or a body of water, period!
At least a Cobra 25 or 29 and a Wilson 1000 antenna. Have a power source- solar, outlet, generator, vehicle
