My favorite edc knife is a cheap smith & Wesson that I found at a lake while fishing with my granddaughter. It stays sharper longer than my more spends ones.

If you like a fixed blade check out the Klein Tools duct knife. One side is serrated and the other side is a blade. It also has a striking surface on the butt.
My dad just tanned one of my rabbits with ivory soap. It turned out well!
Helped butcher some pigs last week for a fellow homesteader and it got me thinking about tanning. Thanks for this info! Have some leather working tools, but not tanning stuff. Would love to have lots of different hides and leathers here in the Ozarks.
