Any advice for Ga. clay? I’m a newbie.
Misfits boxes are amazing! Thanks Zac!
Hey Zach, I am trying to order shirts from your links. It is not letting me check out once I select my items. I have tried for three days straight now, not sure if you could help or not.
Well let’s give it a try. Amazing
I took your advice and ordered from Misfits Market. My order was supposed to be here yesterday. Said it was delayed until today. Now it isn’t coming until Tuesday with a warm and soggy cold pack and four days in a box. I’ve already contacted them and am waiting on a reply. I doubt I will continue the service. I needed the food on the day requested so I have time to cook it. Now it will be old and useless to me as I work long hours. I was skeptical when I saw their ads on Instagram and it seems I was right. There are no weather issues here so I guess the clue it wasn’t going to be on time was that they use FEDEX. WORST delivery service in the US. I love your channel but I am highly disappointed with this service! Now I have no apples or fruit for the week because I didn’t buy it at the store when I went because I had already ordered it. A refund is not much help.
You could grow your own salad if you fix your greenhouse. My kale made it through our northern Indiana winter.
We made our very first garden last year and at the recommendation of Living Traditions we used the ground cover. It worked wonderfully for us. I did not have to pull weeds at all and our plants thrived. We live in East Texas and the 6″ staples worked fine for us. In fact when we went to pull up the fabric most of the staples required some strength to get out. They got a little rusty in the ground and that provided them some good grip. We are reusing the same ground cover and staples from last year in this years garden. Our garden area was pasture land before we tilled and put down the cover. I suppose if our space had been worked for years with your layering technique we might have had the same problem with the staples. However, Sarah and Kevin at Living Traditions plant the same ground every year and use the staples too. I think it will just depend on the ground in each farmers specific area if the staples will work for them. Oh, we also used the staples to hold our drip water lines in place and that worked well. Thanks for your videos. I am very new to all things homesteading and I always learn something from watching your channel.
I got mine today! I’ll be putting it down next week. Last year I tried the cheap stuff. It mostly worked, but was almost impossible to put down in the wind! And I got it from Living Traditions. Love those guys, too!
Just signed up for the box
How soon can you start planting in the soil If you put the compost and ground cover on in spring please?
Methods I’ve never used, very interesting video. I love the no till talk right on, I need to do this. What is your process, etc for irrigating or watering?
Love the misfits. This would be a great gift to send my mother to her place as well as for me 🙂
Great discussion! I am a little south of you in the area around Shreveport, Louisiana and I use heavy mulch gardening as well. Here are a couple of videos that I have done on the subject. Love your channel and have been a long-time subscriber. God bless!
