How To RAW PACK Chicken In Jars For Canning

We are raw pack canning chicken today. You spend all this time growing your own chickens and eventually the time comes when you need to put them on the shelf of the food pantry. So how do you do it? It’s EASY!

Jaimie gives a quick walk through of her chicken raw pack for pressure canning. Simply cut up your chickens, separate your pieces and raw pack them into your jars.

HOMESTEAD CHICKEN WING SPICE MIX RECIPE:
4 Tbs. Garlic Powder
4 Tbs. Paprika
4 Tbs. Salt
2 Tbs. Onion Powder
2 Tbs. Thyme
2 Tbs. Oregano
4 TSP. Black Pepper

  1. I’m canning chicken today…had to recheck part of the process, Jamie’s old video was my first click!

  2. what the heck? You left out the most important part. CLEANING THE JARS, and then how long to cook them, etc. This video is basically useless.

  3. New to canning. So can live the can cooked chicken in the jars without refrigeration for about a year and it won’t spoiled?? Whatever I wanna eat I can just take it out from the jars and eat it just like that? Does not looks appetizing. Can I can broccoli, and any other veggies and will the veggies preserve all the nutrition or nutrition will be lost in the cooking process ? What about fruits?

    JARS SEALED BUT HUSBAND WARY OF MEAT GOING BAD IF NOT TOTALLY UNDER LIQUID PLEASE ADVISE AS I KNOW YOU GUYS HAD DONE THIS FOR YEARS AND ITS OUR 1ST TIME.
